Our next monthly meeting is Thursday September 4, 2008.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month, beginning with a social

time at 7:30 pm and the official meeting at 8:00 pm. Our new meeting place is the Malvern Fire Company, 424 East King St., Malvern, Pennsylvania.

The threat of rain, high winds and hail could not keep the herd of Valley Forge Mustangs from galloping in to the 9th Annual Collegeville Fire Comapny Car Show today.

On August 1, the 1st ever MCA show to be held outside the USA occurred in Oakville Ontario, Canada, at the Ford of Canada Factory and Headquarters! And there to experience the show, were VFMC members Tina Bauman, Greg & Peg Bean, Karen Baum, Chantal Louvet, and Jeff Greenly.

Once the cars made it though classification, and the cleaning/detailing was finished (which for some added up to 14+ hours ) and judging concluded, all VFMC members who attended placed in their respected judged classes. Below are the results:

Tina Bauman - 1st place 2005-2006 Daily Driven Class
Jeff Greenly - 1st place 1994-2006 Modified (exclude undercarriage) Class
Karen Baum - 2nd Place 1999-2004 Daily Driven Class

A clean sweep by VFMC Members in judged classes. 4 entered and 4 placed!! The trophies are a red Canadian Maple Leaf. In a few weeks, the MCA will be mailing out custom plates that will have name of winner, class and level won imprinted on them. All in all a great ending to an unforgettable weekend trip. Way to go everyone and way to represent the VFMC!!!

Rain on Saturday postponed the Glenside show to Sunday August 3rd. Sunday brought much better weather for a car show. The Glenside show lived up to it's reputation, it was a great show. Valley Forge Mustang Cub member Lloyd Brown and his '69 Mach I had a great day, bringing home a 2nd place award in the 1966 - 1969 class. Nice job Lloyd!

The 2nd Annual Mega Car Show at Riddle Memorial Hospital was held in Media, PA today and two trophies went to VFMC members. Donald Gatenby won 1st place in the 1966-1981 stock class with his '66 convertible and Rusty Glessner won 1st place in the 1981-2008 modified class with his '07 GT.

VFMC member Rich Banyai spent his day at the 36th Annual Keystone Grange Fair car show. Rich also brought home a 1st place trophy in the Mustang class with his '70 BOSS 302.
